Welcome to juxtaConversation
If you’re unsure if AI is for you; if you’re timid, nervous or scared to try AI, or you tried it once and walked away unimpressed — you’re exactly who this is for.
I’m Sandi. I spent decades being the person everyone called when something was broken, confusing, or just needed explaining properly. Then I retired, and I sat at my desk not knowing what came next. What came next was AI — and it turned out to be nothing like what I expected, in either direction. Not a miracle. Not a gimmick. Just a conversation, the kind that helps you see something you couldn’t quite see on your own.
This blog isn’t evangelical, and it isn’t alarmist. It’s the gap between those two — the honest middle nobody else seems to be writing from.
Where to actually start
If you only read one thing, make it the post this whole blog is built on: Why juxtaConversation Exists — the gap between what you want and what’s stopping you, and why I think it’s smaller than it looks.
Not sure this is for you? Read This Blog Is Not For You first.
If it still doesn’t feel like it’s for you after that, I’d rather you know now than three posts in.
Want to see what it actually feels like, not just hear about it? I Don’t Have to Shrink is the closest thing I’ve written to just letting you sit in the room with me.
What you’ll find here
Real stories, not tutorials. Genuine friction alongside genuine breakthroughs. No countdown of tips, no dollar figures in the headlines, no promise that this will change your life in nine easy steps. Just what actually happened when one retired, slightly unsure, curious woman decided to have a conversation instead of staying stuck.
A paid tier is coming. When it lands, it'll go deeper than what's free — the actual processes, prompts, and skills I use to run this blog and build with AI, real how-to guides instead of just stories, and proper in-depth conversations about starting something of your own with AI as a genuine collaborator: a business, a blog, a book, even a book club. The free posts aren't going anywhere or getting thinner. This is for the readers who want to build alongside me, not just read about it.

She spent decades being the person everyone called when something was broken, confusing, or just needed explaining properly — earning a reputation that preceded her wherever she went. Now she’s channelling that same instinct into AI: making it accessible, practical, and genuinely useful for people who think it isn’t for them.
